THIRD MEETING FOR RFQ COOLER AND BUNCHER AT ISOLDE
PROJECT
Present: T. Fritioff, M. Lindroos, A. Jokinen, S. Meunier,
I. Podadera
Vacuum system:
- If the facility has to be completely integrated in
ISOLDE vacuum system, the vacuum group will be responsible of this sector
(choosing the pumps and all the components, and for the control), unless we
would need valves to close our system.
- The forepumps place nowadays in this sector cannot be
removed.
- We need a good exhaust pressure. Ari: there will be a
forepump for every turbopump (3). This avoids the problem of pumping with the
only porepump existing for all ISOLDE.
- Sophie: First a discussion with TIS has to be done.
After, we’ll contact again the vacuum group and we discuss with D. Porret how
many time would take to integrate the system at ISOLDE vacuum control (maybe
more than 6 months).
- Mats: Ivan, helped for Sophie, will modify the drawings
and the components to make them ISOLDE standard.
- Sophie proposes to make radioactivity measurements in
the area when Tomas installs the emittance metter after HRS.
Next meeting 07 April at 304-001 B at 14:00.
