FIRST MEETING FOR RFQ COOLER AND BUNCHER AT ISOLDE PROJECT

Present: T. Fritioff, T. Giles, M. Lindroos, J. Pier-Amory, F. Wenander, A. Jokinen, I. Podadera

- Discuss with people the alignment of the RFQ in the beam line.

- Ceiling off the place, without Faraday cage around the RFQ.

- With just a duplet in the quadrupole before the RFQ we can match the beam.

- Possibility to put the quadrupole inside bellows (as in the front-end).

- Beam gate is better before RFQ (don’t concentrate radioactivity inside the RFQ).

- Think about working with stable beams.

Tim will join us in the extraction part and Tomas with the emittance meter.

There will be a user’s meeting next December with a technical section where we have to present the project.
