SECOND MEETING FOR RFQ COOLER AND BUNCHER AT ISOLDE
PROJECT

- The problem of doubling the pumps has been discussed.
Finally, taking in account the different advantages and disadvantages of every
situation, the option of using only three pumps has been agreed.
- Ari asked if the pumps have to be connected to the
trailer.
- Jacques proposed to study moving the concrete blocks .
It needs TIS supervision.
- The outer chamber (pipe) of the RFQ cavity should be
larger, maybe DN 250 ISO-K.
- Thomas says that we need the triplet in the quadrupole
before the RFQ to focus the beam when the RFQ is removed. He will do a
presentation next meeting.
- In the next meeting a person from radioprotection will
be present to talk about the problem of the contamination of the vacuum
system.
